American University scrapped their question about the American University Experience (AUx), a course specially designed for students transitioning into their first year of college at AU, this year in favor of something much more simple: Why are you interested in attending American University? While applicants in the past wrote about diversity and inclusion, you just have to write a love letter–and if you’ve applied to other schools, you probably know the drill. Start on American’s website, look into the majors, classes, professors, campus, and anything else you can get your mouse on. Use this information to paint a detailed picture for admissions of how American University can help you get where you want to go and, ultimately, why it’s the perfect fit for you.
